| Why is this program important? Flushing or trashing expired drugs can contaminate the environment, become a hazard to human health, pollute our drinking and ground water, and jeopardize aquatic creatures. | |

AARP Indiana and the Wabash County AARP Chapter 2866 are working with the District and other health and safety agencies to conduct a supervised collection of prescription and non-prescription drugs for safe disposal. | |
You can bring all medications. Examples are: | |

| Where can Wabash County residents take expired drugs? | |

| If you are homebound and cannot deliver your old or unused drugs to these locations, call your local law enforcement for home pickup! Preparation tip: Please leave drugs in original containers whenever possible. | |
| Who are the partners in this program? |

| AARP volunteers will be present to take your expired drugs. Privacy is guaranteed. No identification of person or substance is necessary A thank-you gift for your participation will be given to you from AARP. |
