MUNICIPALITY GRANT PROGRAM: The District has earmarked funding to encourage municipalities to establish unit pricing structures as a waste/recycling collection billing system. These funds may also be used to support waste diversion programs such as: - recycling
- organics
- household hazardous wastes
- Green Building
- Greening of the Government
- Local market or business development
- Brownfields or illegal dumping.

Municipality Grant funding has been used for these projects: - The Town of North Manchester - to help establish their curbside recycling program;
- Wabash County Government - used a variety of recycled products when building their new Judicial Center;
- Wabash County Jail - used recycled carpet and non-VOC paints in remodeling project;
- City of Wabash Parks Department - used recycled content materials, established flowerbeds with native Indiana plants, and used educational signage at Paradise Spring Park.
- City of Wabash also used recycled steel and recycled plastic and sawdust lumber in construction of the bridge and overlook at Charlie Creek Trail project;
- Town of Roann - purchased a brush chipper (also funded by IDEM grant) for their organics program.
