The mission of the Wabash County Solid Waste Management District is to support and advance environmental initiatives that lead to cost-effective integrated solid waste management strategies in Wabash County, emphasizing waste reduction, reuse, and recycling.

REMEMBER: Indiana State Law prohibits the burning of trash.

Reducing the amount of solid waste that enters northeast Indiana landfills each year is our main goal. We reuse what we can and if we cannot reuse the material, it will be recycled by one of our processors.

What is commonly described as problem waste can be defined as material that the owner has no use for anymore. Many items that are classified as problem waste can be reused or recycled.
